Elizabeth Saylor Says Client Arrested for ‘Working While Black’

Former Fellow Elizabeth Saylor (’02) was quoted in a New York Law Journal story about the allegedly wrongful arrest of her client, the owner of a Harlem nightclub (“Harlem Club Owner Alleges NYPD Arrested Him for ‘Working While Black,’” Aug. 30). “Unfortunately, the NYPD does not effectively discipline or hold officers accountable who wrongly arrest people, wrongly assault people and discriminate against people,” she said.
