Former Fellow Elizabeth Saylor (’02) expressed skepticism in a Daily News story about New York Mayor Bill de Blasio’s denial of discrimination within the New York Police Department’s Intelligence Division (“NYPD Internal Affairs Examining Fight at Gracie Mansion Between Members of Mayor’s Bodyguard Unit,” Aug. 27). “I was very surprised by Mayor de Blasio’s statement denying there was discrimination within the Intelligence Division,” Elizabeth said. “The mayor should be aware there was a finding of probable cause of systemic discrimination based on race.”
