Former Fellow Jennifer Chang Newell (’04) was quoted in a Politico story about a federal judge’s order blocking the deportation of eight asylum seekers who claimed to have experienced domestic violence or gang threats in their home countries (“Judge Blocks Deportation of Eight Asylum Seekers Claiming to Flee Violence,” August 9). Jennifer also was quoted in a New York Times article about the judge threatening to hold Attorney General Jeff Sessions in contempt for prematurely deporting two asylum seekers (“Judge Threatens Sessions With Contempt Over Deported Asylum Seekers,” August 9).
