Jonathan Markovitz Challenges San Diego County Search Policy

Former Fellow Jonathan Markovitz (’15) helped file a complaint challenging Project 100%, a San Diego County policy allowing investigators to search through the homes of families applying for public assistance. The San Diego Union-Tribune quoted Jonathan in its coverage (“San Diego County Again Sued Over Policy of Searching Homes of CalWorks Applicants,” June 27). “Programs that are state-funded may not discriminate,” Jonathan said. “The CalWorks applicant pool is disproportionately composed of women and people of color.”
