Former Fellow Jessica Levin (’14) wrote about a recent Government Accountability Office (GAO) report that highlighted the risks for families that utilize vouchers to send children with disabilities to private schools. Originally posted on the Education Law Center’s website, the piece was picked up by Diane Ravitch’s education blog (“GAO Report: Take a Voucher and Forfeit Special Education Rights,” April 3). “Parents are often not informed that special education rights are drastically diminished when students with disabilities use vouchers to attend private school,” Jessica wrote.
