Veryl Pow Seeks to Block Cases by Unlicensed Bail Bonds Company

The work of Fellow Veryl Pow (’17) to win the dismissals of cases brought by an unlicensed bail bonds company was featured in a front-page, above-the-fold article published by The Daily Record (“Md. Judges Asked to Drop Cases by Unlicensed Bail Bonds Company,” Feb. 14). “Courts should not be able to enforce the contracts of unlicensed companies,” Veryl said. In addition, an article authored by Veryl was published in the UCLA Law Review (“Rebellious Social Movement Lawyering Against Traffic Court Debt,” Volume 64, Issue 6).
