Sameer Ashar Looks at Movement-Centered Immigration Campaigns

An article authored by former Fellow Sameer Ashar (’96) describing the 2009-12 mobilization against immigration enforcement was published by the UCLA Law Review (“Movement Lawyers in the Fight for Immigrant Rights,” Volume 64, Issue 6). “Lawyers supported movement-centered social change campaigns as counsel to existing organizations and to the undocumented youth groups that grew, evolved, and multiplied during this period,” the article said.
