Ariana Cernius Pens Article on Disability Hardships Despite ADA

Current Fellow Ariana Cernius (’17) wrote an article published in the Georgetown Journal on Poverty Law and Policy on lack of access to services experienced by adults with autism and other “invisible” disabilities despite the existence of the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) (“Enforcing the Americans With Disabilities Act for the ‘Invisibly Disabled’: Not a Handout, Just a Hand” Nov. 19). Ariana says adult disabled people often encounter a fragmented and difficult-to-navigate system of supports and services.
