An op-ed co-authored by former Fellow Aadhithi Padmanabhan ('14) was published in the Daily News ("Seeking Asylum, Locked Up by Trump," Oct. 17). The article explained that asylum-seekers at detention facilities such as the one outside Buffalo, New York, are not being granted parole. "We cannot allow the Trump administration to destroy the freedom that has for so long made this country a beacon of hope for people fleeing persecution," the article said.
