Former Skadden Fellow Shira Wakschlag ('10) authored an article published in Impact about challenges faced by prisoners with developmental disabilities and proposed solutions under disability rights laws ("Prisons as Institutions," Spring 2017). "Individuals with I/DD are dramatically overrepresented in prisons and jails and face unique barriers ... prisoners need accessible resources to assist them in advocating for their rights," the article said.
