New York Immigrant Affairs Commissioner and former Fellow Nisha Agarwal ('06) was quoted in a New York Times article about the potential expiration of Haitian immigrants' temporary protected status (TPS) in January ("Haitian Immigrants With Temporary Status Await Trump's Next Move," July 21). Nisha said the "pack your bag type of messaging" is discouraging to hear from the Trump administration, which may not renew the TPS visa many Haitians utilize.
