Former Skadden Fellow Jeree Thomas ('11) of the Legal Aid Justice Center's JustChildren Program was interviewed by Richmond, Virginia's NBC-affiliated television station about the state's No. 1 ranking for the referral of misbehaving students to law enforcement ("Report: VA Schools Rank #1 Nationally for Student Referrals to Law Enforcement," April 10). Jeree said, "Unfortunately [JustChildren] is not surprised by this information because we have represented a number of families who have children who have been criminalized for childish misbehavior."
