Skadden Fellow Lindsay Nash authored a post for the American Civil Liberties Union's "Blog of Rights" about the ACLU's victory in a class action in Washington, D.C., in which the court ruled that "it is illegal to detain asylum-seeking families to send a message to others and enjoined the government from doing so," the post said ("Judge to Government: 'National Security' Isn't a 'Magic Word' That Allows Constitutional Rights Violations," March 16). "The ACLU is urging the White House and DHS to acquiesce to the district court's decision rather than fight to reinstate its illegal family detention policy," the post said.
