Former Skadden Fellow Elizabeth Joynes (’10) of LatinoJustice PRLDEF was quoted in a Law360 article about a ruling denying summary judgment for the defendants in a sexual harassment suit brought by workers at a commercial laundry and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC’s Laundry Worker Sex Harassment Case Left Intact,” Oct. 1). The judge also rejected the laundry owners’ claim that they could not be held individually liable for hostile work environment claims brought by the intervenors, whom Elizabeth represents. Elizabeth said the women’s claims would go forward and they were ready for their day in court. “Today the court confirmed that the owners cannot escape responsibility for permitting a workplace where female employees were routinely harassed by their supervisor,” Elizabeth said.
