Lauren Burke and Eve Stotland Discuss Immigrant Minors

Former Skadden Fellows Lauren Burke ('09) and Eve Stotland ('99) were guests on an NPR "Morning Edition" program about a recent wave of unaccompanied minors entering the U.S. ("Border Kids Fill Courts," July 2). "About three quarters of the young people we see are eligible for relief," said Eve, adding that the greatest number are eligible for special immigrant juvenile status, which applies to immigrants younger than 21 who were abused, neglected or abandoned by a parent and have an adult in the U.S. willing to become their guardian.
