Rebecca Walters Assists Unaccompanied Minors

Former Skadden Fellow Rebecca Walters ('10) was interviewed for a Reuters article about Suyen G., whom Rebecca helped win protective status and a green card after she, as a minor, paid a smuggler to help her escape an abusive father by getting her into the United States ("Waves of Immigrant Minors Present Crisis for Obama, Congress," May 28). Walters, a staff attorney at the Virginia office of Ayuda, which advocates for low-income immigrants, said she typically juggles up to 60 cases at a time involving unaccompanied minors.
