Lindsey Siegel Fights for Unemployment Benefits for Abuse Victim

Former Skadden Fellow Lindsey Siegel (’11) was featured in an article in Atlanta’s Daily Report about an unemployment benefits case she argued before the Georgia Court of Appeals (“Domestic Abuse Victim Seeks Unemployment Benefits,” Jan. 23). Lindsey’s client was denied employment benefits after quitting her job as a cashier when her abusive ex-boyfriend discovered she worked there. “She should not be penalized for resigning from her job for her, her children’s and her co-workers’ safety,” Lindsey said.
