Former Skadden Fellow Megan Golden co-authored an op-ed for Crain’s New York Business about the need for New York City’s next mayor to “tackle some management issues that [Mayor Michael Bloomberg] ignored,” (“Next Mayor Must Be an Adept Manager,” July 28). The op-ed called for the next mayor to report outcomes of poverty, employment and health initiatives by neighborhood and, by using the data, to hold commissioners accountable when they miss goals. “When we choose our next mayor, we are choosing the manager of a $70 billion organization. It will take superior management skills to get the most from that money. We must make sure the candidates are up to the task,” the article said.
