Claudia Gordon Appointed White House’s Public Engagement Adviser for the Disability Community

Former Skadden Fellow Claudia Gordon (’00) has been appointed as the White House’s new public engagement adviser for the disability community in the Office of Public Engagement. Previously, Claudia served as a special assistant to the director for the Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contracts Compliance Programs. Claudia, who lost the ability to hear at age 8, was a Skadden Fellow serving as a staff attorney at the National Association of the Deaf Law and Advocacy Center. She later became a senior policy advisor for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Office for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties. The National Council on Disability applauded Claudia’s appointment in a July 16 press release.
