Patrice Kunesh Named Deputy Undersecretary for Rural Development

On May 20, former Skadden Fellow Patrice Kunesh (’89) became deputy undersecretary for rural development at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. In her new position, Patrice will provide a diverse range of support to rural Americans, including in American Indian communities throughout the country. Previously, she served as deputy solicitor for Indian affairs at the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Office of the Solicitor, where she helped advance the department’s mission of fulfilling its “trust responsibilities” and maintaining strong government-to-government relations with American Indian tribes.
