Chris Meade Confirmed as Treasury General Counsel

The Treasury Department announced April 26 that former Skadden Fellow Chris Meade (’98) has been confirmed by the U.S. Senate as general counsel to the department. In this role, Chris will be the Treasury Department’s chief legal officer and the principal adviser to the secretary and other senior department officials on legal and policy matters. He also will head the department’s legal division, which includes the consolidated legal staff of the Treasury Department. Formerly, Chris served as acting general counsel and principal deputy general counsel to the department.
