Rose Carmen Goldberg Urges Passage of Sexual Assault Protections

Former Fellow Rose Carmen Goldberg (’16), a lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, wrote an op-ed for the Chicago Tribune (“Commentary: This Veterans Day, Congress Should Step Up on Military Sexual Assault Reforms,” Nov. 8). Addressing threats to protections for assault victims in updates to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), Rose noted that following a year in which “almost 80% of victims didn’t report their assaults, sexual assault victims [may] be left behind.”
