Leigh Goodmark Weighs In on Domestic Abuse Within Police Forces

Former Fellow Leigh Goodmark (’95), a professor at the University of Maryland Carey School of Law, was quoted in a Redding Record Searchlight report about investigating police officers accused of domestic violence and the challenges faced by their alleged victims (“‘Fox in the Henhouse’: How Law Enforcement Officers Get Away With Domestic Violence,” Nov. 15). Leigh referenced her experience “working in a legal system that is stacked against domestic violence victims and is even worse for women battered by police officers.”
