Former Fellow Ariel Kleinman (’14), a professor at the University of San Diego School of Law, published a report for the National Women’s Law Center (“The Faulty Foundations of the Tax Code: Gender and Racial Bias in Our Tax Laws,” Nov. 13). The report examined tax code provisions regarding income filing, informal caregiving, business formation and wealth accumulation “that reflect and exacerbate gender disparities” and “that disadvantage women with low incomes, women of color, members of the LGBTQ community, people with disabilities and immigrants.”
