Former Fellow Scott Hochberg (’15) helped secure the passage in November of an East Palo Alto, California, ballot measure that imposes a tax on large commercial office space in order to capture value from the large corporations and tech companies that are exacerbating problems with housing costs, traffic and the jobs-housing imbalance. The proceeds will go to building more affordable housing units and job training programs in the STEM fields. Scott served as legal adviser to the coalition that ran the campaign for the measure.
