Former Fellow Robert Gordon (’99) has been appointed to lead the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. His appointment was discussed in Crain’s Detroit Business, among other publications (“Obama Veteran, CFO of College Board Picked to Head State Health Department,” Jan. 10). “[Robert] brings a unique set of skills and experiences that will lead [DHHS] to drive real results that help hardworking families,” Gov. Gretchen Whitmer said in a statement. Robert’s appointment marks the third time a former Fellow has been named to a state cabinet position in the past month.
