Former Fellow Kevin Ryan (’92) was quoted by New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof in a piece about the “real” national emergencies the nation should be addressing, and the wrongheadedness of Trump’s threat to reduce aid to certain Latin American countries (“Trump’s Ignoring Our Real ‘National Emergies,’” Oct. 24). “Cutting off U.S. aid to these humanitarian organizations will just push more children into desperation and silence the most persistent voices for reform,” Kevin said. “It’s exactly the wrong move.”
