Becca Heller Awarded MacArthur ‘Genius’ Grant

Former Fellow Becca Heller (’10), founder of the International Refugee Assistance Project, was one of 25 individuals recognized for their exceptional creativity with a 2018 MacArthur Foundation “Genius Grant.” Each year, the foundation awards innovators from a range of disciplines with $625,000 stipends to support their “creative, intellectual and professional inclinations.” The foundation cited Becca for “mobilizing the resources of law schools and law firms to defend the rights of refugees and improve protection outcomes for many of the world’s most at-risk populations.”
