Ayirini Fonseca-Sabune Named First-Ever ‘Chief Democracy Officer’

Former Fellow Ayirini Fonseca-Sabune (’15) has been named New York City’s first “chief democracy officer.” She will seek to develop and expand Mayor Bill de Blasio’s DemocracyNYC agenda, which aims to strengthen democracy by engaging people in civic life.
