An article authored by former Fellow Scott Cummings (’98) about the dramatic new role of social movements in legal theory was published in the UCLA Law Review (“The Puzzle of Social Movements in American Legal Theory,” Volume 64, Issue 6). “In a surprising turnabout, social movements — long ignored by legal academics — have now achieved a privileged position in legal scholarship as engines of progressive transformation,” the article said.
