Fellow Cassie Chambers (’16) authored an article for the Lexington Herald Leader about a Kentucky law requiring people seeking divorces to pay for their spouse’s attorney if the spouse is incarcerated, even if the incarcerated person has assaulted them (“Why Should a Woman Have to Pay Legal Fees for Man Who Beat Her?” Jan. 2). “Domestic-violence victims should not have to pay for attorneys for their perpetrators,” Cassie wrote.
