Tarra Simmons May Sit for Washington State Bar Exam

Skadden Fellow Tarra Simmons (’17) was featured in an ABA Journal article about the Washington Supreme Court’s ruling that she can sit for the state bar (“Law Grad With Criminal Record Can Sit for State Bar, Washington Supreme Court Rules,” Nov. 17). Tarra earned her law degree after serving 20 months in prison for drug offenses. “People do rehabilitate, and we must do more to remove barriers that keep people unable to fully reintegrate,” Tarra wrote in an email to the publication.
