Jennifer Hill and Oscar LondoƱo Win Bail for Trafficking Victim

Former Fellow Jennifer Hill (’07) and Fellow Oscar Londoño (’17) secured bail for a woman arrested by Customs and Immigration even after being identified as the victim of exploitation. In El Nuevo Herald, Jennifer said, “During this entire process, every one of the agencies involved was informed that (Ana) was cooperating with authorities as a victim” (“This Immigrant Was Certified as a Victim of Human Trafficking. But She Could Still Be Deported,” Oct. 26). Jennifer also authored an article for Ms. magazine calling for greater protections for immigrant victims of crimes (“When Immigration Becomes a Pathway to Exploitation,” Oct. 17).
