Former Fellow Elizabeth Saylor ('02) was quoted in a New York Times article about a lawsuit she helped file regarding a promotions process that systematically stymied black detectives in the New York Police Department's elite Intelligence Division ("Black Detectives in New York Were Bypassed for Promotions, Panel Finds," Sept. 21). Elizabeth said "an extreme culture of retaliation" had kept black detectives who experienced discrimination from coming forward.
