Maya Wiley Calls Trump Remarks About Police Shameful, Dangerous

Former Skadden Fellow Maya Wiley ('92) was quoted in a New York Times article about the president's admonition that police not be "too nice" while transporting suspects ("Police Criticize Trump for Urging Officers Not to Be 'Too Nice' With Suspects," July 29). Maya, chair of New York City's Civilian Complaint Review Board, said the remark was "shameful, dangerous and damages the progress our city has made toward improving police-community relations."
