Former Skadden Fellow Omar Jadwat ('02) was quoted in a New York Times article about how the Trump administration is working with local law enforcement to expand federal deportation plans ("Trump Administration Moves to Expand Deportation Dragnet to Jails," Aug. 21). Omar, a lawyer with the ACLU, and other advocates say the plan could signal a return to when "immigration authorities worked hand in glove, sometimes leading to overzealous policing and racial profiling."
