Former Skadden Fellow Michelle Kuo ('09) was featured in a New York Times Q-and-A about her new memoir ("Tell Us 5 Things About Your Book: 'Reading With Patrick,'" July 30). She discussed mentoring a struggling student in rural Arkansas as a Teach for America volunteer. After leaving Arkansas, she learned that he had been arrested and charged with murder, so she returned, and spent seven months visiting him in jail to read literature, poetry and history.
