Former Skadden Fellow and Immigrant Defense Project staff attorney Lee Wang  ('14) was quoted in New York Times and New York Post articles about Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials' increased presence at New York City courthouses, where some sympathetic judges have even sent defendants to jail to avoid deportation. "What does it mean that they will be safer in Rikers (Island) than being released?” Lee asked The New York Times. “I think it means we’re in an ugly place."
