Former Skadden Fellow Omar Jadwat ('02) was quoted in a Reuters article about the Justice Department's request that the Supreme Court block a judge's ruling preventing the president's travel ban from being applied to grandparents of U.S. citizens and refugees already being processed by resettlement agencies ("Trump Administration Asks Supreme Court to Block Travel Ban Ruling," July 14). The Supreme Court had issued a ruling partially lifting lower courts' stays on the measure. Omar said, "The government's interpretation of the Supreme Court's stay order defies common sense."
