Skadden Fellow Christopher Lapinig ('15) authored an article for The Atlantic about how the visa system leaves many immigrant workers vulnerable to exploitation by tying their residence status to an employer ("How U.S. Immigration Law Enables Modern Slavery," June 7). "As long as immigrant workers are legally bound to their employers, they will remain vulnerable to trafficking and abuse, and will remain reluctant to seek help," the article said.
