Former Skadden Fellow Shira Wakschlag ('10), legal advocacy director for The Arc, an advocacy group for the intellectually and developmentally disabled, wrote a blog post on the group's site praising the Supreme Court for voting down Texas' definition of intellectual disability in death penalty cases. The case, Moore v. Texas, was "a major victory in protecting the rights of individuals with intellectual disability," Shira said.
