The New York Times published an op-ed written by incoming Skadden Fellow Shakeer Rahman ('17) arguing that "unnecessary arrests for low-level offenses" by local police "end up feeding immigrants into the federal government's deportation machine" ("Sanctuary Cities in Name Only," Feb. 15). "President Trump's plans to deport millions of immigrants can't happen without boots on the ground," it said.
