Skadden fellow Blake Strode ('15) helped secure final approval of a $4.75 million settlement of a debtors' prison claim against the city of Jennings, Missouri. Blake told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that almost 2,000 people collectively spent more than 8,000 nights in the city's jail for "failure to pay" between 2010 and 2015 ("Judge Approves $4.7 Million Settlement to Those Jailed for Unpaid Fines in Jennings," Dec. 14).
