Former Skadden fellow Aaron Halegua ('09) was quoted in a Bloomberg Businessweek article about the Chinese government's work to supplant independent labor groups by reinvigorating the only state-approved umbrella union ("Beijing Wants One Union to Rule Them All," Nov. 10). "The union is supposed to represent workers, but that must be done without actually empowering workers," Aaron said. The article noted that Aaron recently wrote the report "Who Will Represent China's Workers? Lawyers, Legal Aid and the Enforcement of Labor Rights."
