New Report Details Overspending in Justice System

The Grassroots Action Support Team assisted in creating a new report in conjunction with other organizations titled "The $3.4 Trillion Mistake: The Cost of Mass Incarceration and Criminalization, and How Justice Reinvestment Can Build a Better Future For All." The report details how U.S. spending on the justice system over the last 30 years could have been more effectively used in addressing the root causes of crime. Former Skadden fellow James Freeman ('04) is the founder and executive director of Grassroots.
