A letter to the editor written by former Skadden fellow Paul Sonn ('94) was published by The New York Times ("Who Benefits From the Income Tax Credit?" July 7). The letter criticized a proposal that, rather than raise the minimum wage, the earned-income tax credit be made more effective. "The earned-income tax credit is a complement to higher wages, not a substitute," the article said.
