Jason Glick and Toby Merrill Support Student Loan Suit

A New York Law Journal article noted Skadden fellow Jason Glick's ('14) role as plaintiffs' counsel in a class action claiming the Department of Education defied federal law by collecting student loans it knew may have been obtained fraudulently ("Court Revives Suit Against U.S. Over Fraudulent Student Loans," May 16). The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has reinstated the lawsuit. Harvard Law School lecturer and former Skadden fellow Toby Merrill ('12), who filed a brief supporting the plaintiffs, was quoted in a Reuters article about the suit ("U.S. Must Face Lawsuit Over Beauty School Student Loans," May 12). Toby said low-income borrowers ... are "primary targets of predatory schools," and often unable to defend their rights.
