Former Skadden fellow Jackie Okin Barney ('02) co-authored an article for New York public radio station WNYC about the low number of New York City elementary schools that are fully accessible to individuals with disabilities ("More Schools Must Be Accessible to Disabled," Feb. 18). "The department must do more than construct barrier-free schools; it must work with families to make sure that students with mobility impairments receive an appropriate education in the schools they attend," the article said.
