Jeree Thomas Speaks on Juvenile Justice Reform Program

Former Skadden fellow Jeree Thomas ('11) of the Legal Aid Justice Center was interviewed by radio program "Virginia Currents" about Performing Statistics, an initiative that aims to raise awareness about the "school to prison pipeline" through art projects, learning exchanges, workshops, forums and panel discussions. "Instead of teaching young people, we exclude them, we exclude them from school or we isolate them, we put them in incarceration or other environments where they're invisible, and when you think about it, that's the exact opposite of what we want to do because we want to create successful, contributing citizens," Jeree said.
