A case being handled by Skadden fellow Jason Glick was included in a Huffington Post article describing failed efforts by borrowers to file student loan forgiveness claims under a "defense against repayment" provision in federal law concerning fraud by higher education institutions ("Obama Administration Improperly Denies Student Loan Debt Relief," May 8). In her debt forgiveness application, Jason's client alleged that her school misled her and that the misrepresentations led her to take out federal student loans. An Education Department spokeswoman has apologized for the letter denying Jason's client's claim.
